Phosphor Plate Scanner

A phosphor plate scanner, also known as a digital phosphor plate scanner or PSP (Photostimulable Phosphor) scanner, is a device used in dental radiography to convert the latent image captured on a phosphor plate into a digital image. It is an intermediary step between traditional film-based X-rays and fully digital imaging systems. When considering a phosphor plate scanner, many important factors such as image quality, speed of scanning, compatibility with imaging software, ease of use, and support from the manufacturer should be taken into account.
